I have been having a lot of anxiety lately. Mom thinks its because I havent been taking my meds and so now she is watching like a hawk. I went out with a friend the other night to a meeting a use to go to before I moved away and I had a major anxiety attack and had to go outside and wait for it to pass. then I had another while I was driving home, so I just focus on driving to the best of my ability, ended up pulling over and calling someone. then I was able to finally drive the rest of the way home but the anxiety never left.

(((((((((Nicole)))))))) It sounds like you have some grounding and coping skills. That is a huge plus. Hopefully in time they will ease. Just wanted you to know you aren't alone

I'm sorry about your anxiety. I have it too sometimes. I used to freak out and cry for no reason; other times I lose my breath and hyperventilate.

Your meds take a bit to work, and depending on how long you've been taking them there isn't a quick fix. You did the right thing by calling someone. I hope you feel better.

Hey I know how you feel. The medication can take a week or two to get use to. Once your body gets use to the medication, you will so much better. I know this is very painful for you. My Dr. told me that when I have a panic attack to start counting to 5 and then release counting to 5. This helped me maybe it will help you. Just try to stay positive about it. I had to say to myself I can't wait until this medicine starts to work. If your having side effects to the medicine then try taking it before you go to bed. When I was getting use to the meds I felt like I was high. Some people like that feeling and as you can probably tell I hate that feeling. My Dr. told me that it was just a side effect. Also if something is bothering you about the meds then tell your Dr. My Dr. explains everything that she gives me,so I don't worrie about it. I hope this helps.
