Default Emotionally attached

I try to keep to emotional attachments down, eapecially with materialistic items. Although being alone causes an emotional desire for companionship. Ive still yet to fill this desire. If anyone has any advice or influence feel free.

I don't think there's anything wrong or unusual about wanting companionship. Where it becomes a problem, in my opinion, is when people settle for those who don't treat them well to avoid being alone. I often feel lonely too, especially with staying home all the time. Don't really have any advice for you, but I know how you feel.

I don't have any advice or influence. Maybe others here may have something to offer in this regard.

I have this problem now. I keep on depending on this friend who doesn't really treat me well. He makes me feel happy but he also repeatedly hurts me. We've been in this kind of relationship for 3 years. I want to let go already.

Were wired to be social, so its not unexpected to want companionship, regardless of how difficult it can be to find friends and partners at times. Though as downandlonely pointed out, settling for a poor match is a bad idea, often even worse than being alone, although its understandable in many cases.

Thanks to reading posts here about attachment, I've taken the first step to end the toxic relationship I was in. It's a weight off my shoulders knowing that I don't have to deal with him anymore. I will feel alone for a while, but this is much healthier.
