So when I first got diagnosed with ADHD I took Adderall and it was working really well... then for some reason they made me switch and take Concerta, then Straterra, then Focalin, maybe others too.

Now I'm back on Adderall and I have been for a month or two. I like it a LOT better than Focalin, but for some reason I'm experiencing side effects I didn't experience the first time I took Adderall. I'm feeling withdrawn from the rest of the world and... almost a tired feeling, I guess.

I really don't know what to do. I'm sick and tired of taking medications. I've been taking them since I was about 7 or 8 and I just don't like it. The medicines have annoying side effects and I'm tired of it. I tried to give up taking medicine but my ADHD is too much of a problem.

What could I possibly do to treat my ADHD without taking medicines? And has anyone ever had these side effects from Adderall?

Maybe you're not taking the right theraputic dosage. I've been on and off of Adderall a few times. Mainly because I build up a tolerance for the drug, and then bam! I'm taking 90 mg a day.......-_-

I'm taking Dexedrine SP currently, but I've tried all the other drugs out there, and I can honestly say stimulants help better than non-stimulants. Mostly because it negates the sleepiness I encounter from all of my other meds.

Actually, the highest I went before was, like, 60 or 80 or something... Now I'm on 20 and it's making me a person I don't want to be.
If there's any way I can just gradually get off medicine completely... that would be wonderful. Unfortunately that probably won't happen.
