My Dad has adult ADHD, my brothers both took meds for it in HS though they're both off meds for it now. About 3 years ago my mom started suggesting that she thinks I have it but I blew her off. But since reading in here and especially in the "natural cures?" post I've begun to wonder if all this time I've been self-medicating it into submission via massive amounts of caffeine. Generally I drink at least a full pot of coffee in the morning, have at least 2 if not more 20oz Diet Dr. Peppers during the day and 2-3, 5 Hour Energy drinks as well. A) no wonder I sleep like crap; b) thoughts on this? I took the screening quiz and it came out as high probability that I have it, it's just something I hadn't seriously considered before

Sounds like you're onto something there rick. From what I've read, adult ADD is generally undiagnosed ADD as a child. I'm sorry you suffer with this... it does appear that you are self-medicating with the high metabolism drinks. You might be able to refine that down or mix it around to find a combo that works for you, helps you focus but doesn't keep you up all night?

Good wishes.
