Has anyone had neuropsych testing to determine they have ADD? I'm pretty sure I have it, but I want to get the test done, as I think I might have some Aspergers traits as well. The only problem is getting insurance to cover it. Can anyone tell me what the experience was like, is there an MRI involved? Any feedback would me greatly appreciated, thanks

Only time I have had a MRI done was to determine the extent of a injury from a car accident. The testing for my ADD, panic disorder, and ocd was done by a therapist. My doctor took the test results and prescribes my medication to go along with my other medication for physical problems. Never done the neuropsych testing.

It's lots of paper and pencil tests, not anything "fancy": http://www.addhealthandwellness.com/faq.php#2

Paper and pencil tests sound fine to me . Just as long as someone can finally figure out what's wrong with me. Thanks for the input, guys, I talked to a doctor, they don't take my insurance but I'll just have to call my insurance co. and see if he can take me as a special case. I'm grateful just to have insurance, just wish it hadn't been downgraded.
