Hey, I'm Anna.

I'm 21, and recently I came across an article on adult ADHD. I couldn't stop laughing whilst reading it because a lot of it sounded pretty similiar to me. Now though...I'm not so sure.

Since I was a kid I've always been told I'm impulsive. And I am. I constantly blurt out things, the trouble I've caused because of not watching my mouth...I have a very short temper (I take after my mother) and am very easily irritated, with major trouble controlling my emotions. Impulsivity + trouble controlling emotions = major problems sometimes. I spend hours daydreaming...in fact, it's only lately that I've begun to think how sad it is that I've spent so much time in my own imagination rather than living in the present..what a waste. I can and often do spend hours, literally hours pacing, I constantly fiddle with stuff, esepecially my hair. It's got to the point now where I'm getting bald patches because I pull at my hair so much. I constantly interrupt people when they speak also. I find it very hard to concentrate sometimes. I've just finished my degree, and...it was oftentimes an nightmare. I could win an award in procastinating. If I have to read something boring it takes me forever because I find it hard to concentrate, very irritable, and procastinate on it as long a possible. There's so much more...but I'll just mention three more things. When I was 17 I was diagnosed with OCD, and I have always had problems making and maintaining friends. I've never had a boyfriend. Oh, and I talk very quickly, at like 90 miles an hour sometimes.

Should I go to the doctor to see what they think? What do you think? Apologies for such a long post. Take care, all of you!

Yes, I think you would feel better if you did get checked out by a doctor. Then you'd know more about what is happening with you and can get advice about any adjustments that you need to make!
