Sorry, this belongs in the depression forum, don't know how to delete it.

I started screaming at my daughter, calling her an ingrate because I showed up to early to pick her up when she specifically told me she wanted to be home by 7 and she wanted to stay longer, so she gave me an attitude. I'm having more and more outbursts and 'm trying not to, plus today I had a bad dizzy spell, thought I was gonna have a stroke, I don't need her giving me more crap. do you think i've done permanent damage?

It sounds like both you and your daughter need to speak to each other with more respect. You can't go down to the level of a teenager. If this is a constant problem, have you consider therapy for the two of you to learn better communication skills?
