Your first stop should be your family doc. He should be able to tell you where to get evaluated.
In preparation for that I would strongly advise you to read up on the condition. That includes checking the DSM-IV entry for it and perhaps trying one of the online tests. But remember, none of that is more than indicative.
There is a huge number of issues and conditions that can mimic ADHD symptoms. Therefore, only qualified professionals can really diagnosed you. You need to know your stuff though, don't let them get away with half answers.
Thanks for this!

I have had doctors want to test me for bipolar, and adhd. Is it possible that i have one or the other and getting symptoms mixed up. Is it possible i have both. bipolar disorder runs in my family also, i was told by my doctor it could be my thyroid, and that i have an over active thyroid. which graves disease runs in my family also. Im very confused at what may be my problem im worried no doctor will tell me the same hence all these "diagnosis" came from all different doctors. Is it possible for one human being to have this many problems, or am i crazy for thinking all these things wrong with me?

Please help, Ashley

I agree with sarek, go to family doc and see. You can take online quizzes (don't rely on them alone) but it could help you plead your case with your doc. You can also go to your school counselor (if you are still in school) and they would be able to direct you towards services. Also you can contact your local county mental health agency (if you are in the US). They cannot refuse you services based on your insurance or ability to pay.
