This semester it is so hard to keep things together. I have been doing things I've never done before like turning in less than my best work and even turning in things late. Up to this point I have been able to manage school because I've only taken 2 classes at one time- now I am taking three and I think it is just too much for me! I have a major problem staying focused. I literally can't think sometimes! Anyone else having these same issues with school?

I used to...Do you take extra cold/hot showers or practice any kind of sports? I find it very helpful. Also - remembering the meaning of what you study. To you.

Do you have anxiety? It can be one of the reasons...

Thanks for this!

I don't play sports but I do take hot showers. And yes to the anxiety! Of course no being able to focus increases the anxiety- its a circular thing!
Just feeling a bit crazy- thankfully the semester is nearly over!

I have the same issues. There are some semesters in which I am very capable and in some I'm doing less than my potential. I think it's the different phases in our lives. We aren't always the same everyday. Change happens gradually and sometimes we aren't even aware of it. Could be that you are dealing with a different environment with different circumstances. New worries, a changed awareness, new priorities, different pressures... could all be contributing to the difference in how we are doing. It's important to be aware of ourselves.
Thanks for this!

Definitely having these same problems, but Ive been pretty good at BSing my way through school for so many years that I've always managed to do well. BUT, Im a senior in college now, very close to graduation, and Im finding that I cant keep up well anymore. I had to drop a class because I kept forgetting assignments and missing class (even though it wasnt at an inconvenient time, etc...just....didnt go?) And now, in order to graduate on time, I have to take DOUBLE what Im taking now next semester. Im freaking out, because my suspected ADHD is untreated and a bit out of control at times. (Like now, when I should be studying for an italian test or working on a portfolio project for studio art. Gah.)
Thanks for this!

Well certainly sounds like i'm not the only one who has trouble getting through school! The end of the semester is nearing so there is a light at the end of the tunnel~ just hope we all make it through with the grades we need!!
