Hi, my story is really, really long...and my brain has so many thoughts I will never be able to type them out on my phone in time before a million new thoughts come alive. Ive been struggling with adhd for tge majority or all of my life, and with (i think) depression for the past 3 years. I know I need to get help but am not really sure where to start. I am a us vet and my husband is currently on active duty, so I know tgat there are several resources avaliable to me, just not quite sure how to access them. Any advice? I am thinking of just going to tge hospital today abd starting there. Is that ok? Or should I call somewhere and maje an appointment?

I think going to the hospital is a great idea but you may want to check and see if there is a help line. Just showing up is probably not the best idea yet there should be someone there to help. If you get what you want there then search the local yellow pages for a psychiatrist/psychologist who treats people with ADHD. That's what I did. Fair warning though; psychiatrist tend to want to prescribe medicine without much discussion of the problem. If you are looking more towards talking first, then a psychologist or counselor is your best bet. Good luck. It does get easier.
