First off, I'm Californian, and living in Hollywood to boot, so I wouldn't be breaking any laws if I got a medical marijuana card.

I am too thin and it's painful. I'm cold all of the time. It hurts my bony butt to sit on a hard wood floor. I try to eat I really make the effort but I get full very fast or worse I simply forget to try to eat if I get sucked into a project and nothing reminds me. I'm mostly a vegetarian, not for any ethical, moral or political reasons, but because I don't like a lot of meats, they're just not enjoyable to eat, and I slowly phased them out of my diet at various times over the years. Crabs, lobsters, prawns, certain shrimp, and specific fish are the only meats I eat. I love chocolate, noodles and potatoes. I love American, Middle Eastern, Indian, Japanese and Thai foods. I'm not a food snob either, I'll eat junk food. I prize British candy.

I've also tried keeping a 1996 style Tamagotchi, as something to remind me to eat. If you don't know what that is, it's the original virtual pet key chain.

So anyways, medical marijuana for weight gain. Good idea? Bad idea? Thoughts? Questions? Info? Alternatives?

Talk to a regular doctor first - not a MM doctor if you know what I mean - to see if they have any suggestions. Appetite suppression isn't uncommon with stimulants, but they may have some different ways to help, like non-stimulant treatment (e.g. Strattera).

Otherwise, if they don't have any answers, I can only say that cannabis definitely makes me eat a lot more than I need to. Quitting it has lead to some good weight loss - the appetite suppressing side effects of my meds were never noticeable until I stopped smoking cannabis.
Thanks for this!

I agree with AniManiac. Talk to your family doctor about your appetite and weight loss. Hopefully he/she can suggest something to help you gain back some weight. If you don't want to stop the stimulants, there are some medications that can be given to stimulate appetite and help you gain weight. I like the idea of the Tamagotchi! I remember when those came out. My girls loved them.

Also make sure you let the prescriber of your stimulants know what is going on. Weight loss is a side effect they should be informed about.
