This is an add tool my pdoc uses and told me about.
OHIO = Only Handle It Once ![]() Have a paper you could file now or set aside? File it now= less handling= less clutter= thought that doesnt have to flutter around your mind. Just one of endless examples. |

I luv it! I usually go to "clean up" and end up sticking everything in piles. and then the pile just sits there for days. it annoys me so much but I get overwhlemed looking at the piles and then I don't do anything! Great solution!

OHIO... Awesome... I do this with the mail.
I bring it in, immediately throw away the junk mail, open the bills and throw away everything but the statement and put them in my "To be paid" spot, then sort the rest. This eliminates 1/2 of the pile of paper on the spot. The best part is... I don't have to go through the pile later, as I've already pulled everything important ![]() |

That is really good! I consistently pile stuff instead of putting it away or throwing it away. I get distracted.
For instance, I come in from the grocery store and just put the bags on the floor, run down the stairs to get more bags and then put them on the floor. Then I never put them away. I should put the first bags away (handle once!) and then go run down and get the rest. I gotta keep thinking OHIO! It's funny how tricks can help. Thanks. |
