I'm not sure but i think i may have adhd. plus i find some of the questions stupid to answer. like the one that says how often do you make careless mistakes in things like homework, schoolwork and activity or soemthing at work? i'm like rarely. every now and then i would make a few careless mistakes but that's only because I'm either guessing at the answers or i choose to just BS my answers. that's not something wrong. I'm deliberately getting it wrong because the question requires a lot of critical thinking and i just want to get it out of the way. am i fidgety? well sometimes but i often notice other kids shaking their leg when they sit too long so now i don't think it's a problem. all i'm concerned about is that i can't remember the things i learned after a while of not looking at it and sometimes when others have a terrific memory of it, i go,"Is something wrong with me?" Or if someone cannot remember what they had been told because of their lengthy speech and they need to write it down so that they won't forget, would that be a sign of adhd? i'm a little confused by the questions on the quiz? for those of you who are suffering from it, is it possible i may have it?

People who have add/adhd are quite prone to make mistakes be it on a test/homework or whatever. Our brains move so fast and we are pulling in so many little tidbits of information that our mind will lose things within seconds. Our minds are kind like an octopus puting out feelers all over the place trying to take everything we can in. If something mundane and boring and really repetitive we will lose interest we will start day dream about other things and not pay attention to what we are doing instead day dreaming elsewhere.
If you are deliberately making a careless mistake, then it really is not a careless mistake as there is a reason or purpose behind doing it whatever it may be. We add'ers do not make the mistakes on purpose. We will make them and not even notice we did unless someone points it out to us or we realize it later on after we are done with the task we were doing.

As far as the fidgety thing goes. If your in say a classroom setting. Sitting still is unhealthy for anyone. So having some way of keeping your body moving is normal. Often people with add/adhd will will stand up or move around the room at inappropriate times. Like when everyone is required to stay seated, or they will talk when everyone is required to remain seated. People with add will also do things such as tap a pen stair at a funny stain on the ceiling or look out the window. Even when it looks like we are doing nothing we are always doing something always on the go. It is constant and never ending. There are things that set our fidgeting apart from the avg. fidgeting. We will even do what I now call a ADD vacation. Where we will just tune out for awhile and not even be aware of our surroundings at all. I have done this many times where will I will just zone out and no matter what you do I will not come out of it until my mind has had enough of a mini vacation.

As far as the lengthy speech goes and writing things down. If it is like a college lecture or something along those lines. If you have been sitting there for over an hour or more..It gets hard to pay attention to the speaker as they are just flooding you with info. No one has the perfect memory that can sit and pay exact attention to a speaker. That is why often time people use tape recorders or write things down as you said. But add'ers have even less ability to pay attention when its required. Not by any fault of there own. We can read a page out of a book and forget what was said at the beginning of a page. I often times read a page 3 or 4 times just to get what it means or what is being said.

All in all I think everything you have described is pretty normal for the avg. person. We all struggle with the things you described. Just from what I see though is that you are not struggling anymore then the next person. Although the only way to be sure is to see a professional who specializes in add/adhd.

Also go back and read through your school report cards to see what the teachers said about you. Ie has trouble completing tasks on own. Has trouble working alone or silently. Trouble staying seated when its required. Things of that nature. You will notice a trend from childhood in the things teachers write down. If this is present in the report cards comments, and you do seek professional opinion. Bring them with you it will help them out and give them a good idea of what your concern is.

Also we tend to ramble. The hour waiting for my adderall to work lol. Sorry for the long ramble. Hope some of this helps. Anymore questions I will try and help answer. Also others will chime in who know more then me. I only just began getting treatment about month ago or so.
