Hey fellow short-attention-span-posters,

I experience days, full 24-hour periods, of fantastic clarity. Thoughts flow freely, my communication skills are sharper, my test scores are higher, and my anxiety is less than normal. The reasons as to why my body would be different on these days than on any other have always eluded me.

Then I randomly stumbled onto an article about about antihistamines, which I take because I'm a full-blown nerd with allergies, and how it may have a negative interaction because Cetirizine has depressing effects whereas Adderall has the opposite.

Soooo....I didn't take the allergy medication today and, BAM, a day chock full of awesomesauce.

Anyone else experienced something like this?
Thanks for this!

Good food for thought! I do not have any allergies of any kind. But I am glad you were feeling like a bowl of awesomesauce

So I haven't taken one since this post, and I've continued to have a consistent level of energy an focus ever sense.

I've been offline for a minute catching up on life since the first post on this thread. I almost feel like I have a new beginning with everything and everyone....it's refreshing.

I really hope that anyone else that's experiencing the same feeling I was and is taking sinus meds with adderall finds this..it would have saved me a good 2 years of struggle if I had.

I may just be an obscure case; it sucked none the less though lol.

Good observation, Kptclutch...
The ADD brain is very fast, but quickly wears down on a normal day. Anti-histamines make you drowsy, some more than others, but not taking them should help.

Exercise also helps a lot. On days when I get my two miles in the morning before work II feel so much better than days when I don't. When I get my evening two miles in, I eat less and get sleepy more easily. It is the dopamine released by the brain during exercise that makes the difference.

After you had posted this. I read through the pamphlet I get when I get my prescriptions. It says to not take anti histamines with adderall as it may effect the absorbtion of the adderall. Guess its a good thing I have no allergies!
