I have been aware of ADD for most of my life. But I never talked about it.
Now it is effecting my life and I am unable to keep a job. Getting help has always been tough for me asking and accepting both. Now it has gotten to the point that I am on my fifth husband and now he is feed up. I lost my job 7 months ago and no prospects on the horizon. I am not sure what I am going to do now but everything is just a blur. |

You sure do have a lot on your plate, and you might have a diagnosis other than ADD. Did you take the Screening for ADD on this site? Your difficulty in asking to get help seems to me, IMHO, the least of what is going on. You have to start somewhere to break the cycle you seem to be in. Your family physician is often helpful in this. But start somewhere to make the changes that will help you be what you want to be.

That first step asking for help is always the hardest, but you have to take it. You might even have to 3 or 4 first step's before you are able to take your second, but once you take that second step it does get easier and you start to feel like you can change, Just a matter of finding the right first step to take.
I wish you the best of luck, it is totally worth it! ![]() |
