I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 17 months old, I think. I didn't know about it until my parents told me in the 4th grade. I paid very, very good attn. and it was hard to believe I had ADD. We moved away into another state and I did pretty well, but than I was slipping, and now I can't pay attention to someone at all! And it's getting WORSE. I don't have meds, they said I didn't need it. I think I do. After all aren't I the one with ADD, not them?

who says you don't need medication? how old are you? can you go to a psychiatrist or a therapist who could rediagnose you? because I think you will have a hard time getting meds if your diagnosis was from when you were 17 months old.

I didn't know you could get a diagnosis of ADD so young.

me either. maybe you were just a very hyper baby? or was it because you were colicky? i honestly dont think you can get a diagnosis that young. maybe there were just indications? and it wasn't a real diagnosis?

I'm not exactly sure if that's right, I'm not even sure I could be diagnosed back then either! But I know I was really young. Really really young. Like toddler. But they should rethink the whole 'no meds thing' because I'm going insane.

They don't test for AD(H)D until at LEAST 6yrs old. A 17mo old cannot test for AD(H)D.
