Hey jossef-Ritalin/Methylin/Concerta start to work very rapidly! I'd ck with your pharmacist, but my guess is yes you should be able to concentrate and focus better in the first week!! Best of luck!!
Thanks for this!

You should be able to notice the effects of stimulant medications within a matter of hours. IR ritalin 10mg should work within 20 minutes to an hour. But wait a week or two to see if you notice any difference. I don't know how severe your concentration is so you might not notice it.

For some people it just doesn't work. Methylpenidate (ritalin) is usually used on people that are hyperactive more than inattentive.

If you have no luck then you should try a different medication. Don't try strattera next because it takes too long and doesn't work as well as stimulants for most people. Something like Adderall would be good or dexedrine, vyvanse, etc..
Thanks for this!

That's not normal. Ritalins effects are noticed in about thirty minutes. I think it is time to try a new medication, talk to your pdoc.

Ten mg is a low dose of Ritalin. Of course effects vary from one person to the next. When my son was in elementary school he took forty mg in the morning, forty at noon and twenty mg at 4pm.

You may need a higher dose than ten mg to achieve desired effect but it is wise to start slowly because there can be undesirable side effects. How often do you see your pdoc?
