I take Adderall 20mg 4xday for ADD. I also have insomnia, depression and anxiety from low self-esteem issues and now with 2 chronic medical issues (serious anemia hgb was 5.5 and aortic disease in one vein, aneurysm in another). Will eventually have open heart surgery, but have a bit of time before that happens. Trying to stay focused on keeping doctors appointments, taking all my medication and be positive, just hard when I am tired and totally stressed out all the time.

I am very creative in a focused way, been doing embroidery and I concentrate on each stitch, maybe I am blocking out the world for a little while, trying hard not to think about health, bills, work, family.

I wonder who else had chronic illness with ADD.

I have no doubt that people with ADD also sometimes have chronic disorders. Are you thinking that ADD might somehow affect these issues?

You might want to post in the Health forum. Here is the link to that: http://forums.psychcentral.com/health-support/.

I hope you are able to get good management of these health problems, anyway.
