I've been feeling overwhelmed and that I can't deal with day to day things. I have very little patience for things and forget things because I get distracted by something else. Does anyone else experience this? I get frustrated with myself and don't want to take that out on others.(family members)
Thanks for this!

I always feel overwhelmed and agitated. I can totally relate. Handling every day life is so huge to me..paying bills,,, on time,,, my credit is shot to hell now and I'm having to go bankrupt. I am raising a daughter and working hard to be a good role model but it's very hard. She too suffers from adhd so she really understands. She is 16 and mature beyond her years. I'm not sure what to do other than take the.meds prescribed to me..they do help alot.I have other diagnosis and I'm on.ssd. I work a ptn job and I can manage my life alot better then.if I had to work ft. Do you work a stressful job? It's really good that you are aware of yr symptoms to not want to take things out on yrb family. Are you seeing a pdoc.and are you on meds?

OI'm going to see a new pdoc on Tuesday. I was seeing one & on meds but I stopped them bc i got pregnant. I don't believe in taking meds while pregnant even if docs say it's safe. Im not working right now I couldn't do it but, I do want to go back to school and work. I get so overwhelmed now I think it's because Im not on meds they do help. Luckily my hubby pays the bills bc if i did we'd be behind bc I'd forget. I just get overwhelmed and very distracted, day dream so much then have a 4 mo old and a 6 and,7 yr old to look after. So I try to get there day to day things if I remember

That's positive that yr going to see a new pdoc. Im with you about not taking meds while pregnant. You'll get relief soon. Just try some deep breathing exercises till you get yr meds back. You have alot going on with three little ones to look after. That can be overwhelming too. Be easy on yr self. Let us know how the new pdoc works out. Good luck

Overwhelmed and anxious is my usual state of mind. Worse when I face new challenges or changes to routine. I'm getting ready to begin a nurse aid training course and the thought of going to class is making me anxious. I think ADHD and anxiety go hand in hand.

I get extremely overwhelmed as well. It doesn't help when Ritalin throws my soul into a black hole.

Yellowfrog I want to go to school for nurses aid as well. I do have anxiety as well as adhd. I also have trouble sleeping borderline insomnia. Maybe adhd and anxiety,do go hand in hand because alot of times like today when I get overwhelmed with having to do more than one thing at a time I start having a anxiety attack. Yes with changes in routine I go nuts. Espically when something happens last minute
