I've noticed it before, and i mentioned it once to my parents but they just let it roll off their shoulders. I let it rest but recently a friend was diagnosed with it. she told me that she wanted me to get tested because we are just alike. I cant sit still, i cant focus, i make careless mistakes, i procrastinate, i fidget- a lot, and i feel like i have to constantly be on the move. Another friend has noticed my fidgeting and has told me upwards of 10 times in the past 2 days that i have add. ive taken quizzes online and they all say "severe add". I'm almost positive that I have it, but i dont know how to tell my parents. My mom even has add, but its not severe. i know that i have to open a dialogue with them, but i just dont want them to think that im being ridiculous and just overthinking and diagnosing myself with things willy-nilly. Please help

I agree with Travelinglady. It's possible that you have ADHD, or some other physiological problem. Talking to your parents would be a good place to start, since it is clear that you are experiencing a lot of discomfort. You don't necessarily have to "self-diagnose" yourself when you have this conversation, if you think that will hurt your credibility. Your mum has ADHD, so she might consider that an option anyway when you state your symptoms.
