Hey I'm wondering something. I tried Concerta over a year ago for about a month with no help to my ADD problems. Does that mean that no med will help or should I keep trying? Also wondering if they help executive functions as I think that's a major part of it for me. I tested really, really poorly on executive functions. I think that those get me more than trouble focusing to be honest.

Hi, Adespota, I would think that it would be worthwhile to try a different med. What works for one person might not work for another.

I don’t think that means all the meds won’t work or give results, there’s people who have been asked by their doctors to change meds if it didn’t work for them, so I guess there’s possibility that some meds might not works for everyone.

I tried out several different ADD meds before I found the right one, including concerta and adderall. it's my impression that a lot of people have to do some tweaking before they get the meds or combination of meds that work best for them.
