Hello there name is Daniel 32 yrs old. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in the 7th grade took medications and saw therapist till I was a sophomore in high school pretty munchd the bills were getting to high for my folks so they stoped taking me.theschool put me in special ed bc I was always getting in trouble some how and not even knowing it.well they just handed me my diploma and told me"go get!!!!well I started working dead end jobs always quiting bc I got bored of it.o finally found what I'm good at and bn doing it for ten years now I had a boy wen I was 25 we split up two years after it really messed me up went thru a big depression don't want to work or do anything for about a year slowly got back on my feet I let her In my life again just so I can b with my dj everyday well she fuked me up agsin and was going thru the depression all over again until I met my now wife but I feel like It has came back but harder this time I am forgetting the simplest task thst I do normally and and she is always telling me that I just don't pay attention to what she is telling me even when she is looking straite at me it is making things worse in my marriage I don't want to loose her I always thought that my ADHD was ******** but I know now that I was in denial she loves me and I love her so much I can't loose her.please I need some advice on whst to do it's wreaking my marriege

Hi, DannieTex! I think ADHD is a life-long condition. I do think you need to talk to a doc about it and probably go back on some sort of medication.

Hi Dannietex, I'm an adult with ADD and I take meds every day. They make a big difference in my life. Maybe you should see a dr and in the mean time, explain things to your wife--maybe she'll understand that you're not "ignoring" her on purpose and let her know you're going to try to make it better....maybe she can be a source of support for you as you figure out what to do...

Most likely you got use to it through sensory adaptation, but then one day you accidentally channeled it in your head and realized you still had it.
