So I really need to get myself evaluated for ADHD

problem is i am in college out of state and insurance only covers this stuff in my home state.

I have done all my research, picked out a place and everything. I was hoping To get an appointment for November break. But its only a week and i doubt that would be enough time even if i could get in (I know i need to call NOW that stress makes me want to put if off more)

I keep reading things about a diagnosis taking months and months with hours long sessions. How can i possibly do that if I am never home? I'm not home for months on end. I don't know what to do. I need to do something soon because i really feel like i am wasting education but it just feels like it's something i'll never be able to do

It just feels so hopeless to me.

i havent heard anything about diagnosis taking months and months....i think you are letting your anxiety get the better of you.......make the call......if you cant, have a friend make it for you pretending to be you...whatever it takes to get it done...if you cant make it this break, schedule it for your next break.

does your school have psychiatrist that can see you? i know my college did. they saw me for free, prescribed med and everything. saw counselors. it was free, sortof......it was part of the fees i paid at the beginning of the year...check into it.

Maybe there's a community health center that offers low cost aid? What town are you in? One of my talents being ADD is that I can spend all kinds of time researching stuff on the web! I'd be happy to do it. PM me if you want.
