Hi,
I have found it harder and harder to be medicated for my ADD. I know one Dr. who will not write a script without THREE written diagnosis from different pdoc's/Dr's. In my state the pharmacies have shortages and some give me dirty looks for filling a script. I let it slip that I was on adderral to a guy I have known for years. He started offering me all kinds of money for pills then I got people I didn't even know from his office hitting me up That is a freaking federal offense! So, this guy knew my pdoc, made an appointment, and repeated all the symptoms he read online. He started out on 60mg and said it was the only thing that would help his depression. I had to quit being around him because he would come to my house and talk non stop for hours. He was tweaking so bad that he did things like took his car apart at 3 am. Then he always ran out early and begged me for pills. Now, he has a nurse from the VA getting his pills illegally he is so addicted. He pays about $300 a month. This is not a performance drug like steroids! I have a legitimate need for my medication so I can function. All these yahoos are making it impossible to not arouse major suspicion if I even mention ADD. I was diagnosed by a Ph.D, 2 pdoc's have written me scripts, a third pdoc diagnosed me again. Now, clinics are making guidelines that if you were not diagnosed and treated as a child then you can't be medicated?! ADD & ADHD were not even tested when I was a kid! The pdoc I see doesn't think I should stay on it because I'm not a student or employed. She thinks I can learn in therapy how to master ADD. I can't follow therapy without adderral. On a side note, I have bought the generic 10 and 20mg. The round pills are absolutely crap! I go out of my way to only buy the oval pills. I check to see what is stocked before I fill my script. __________________ There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humor and hurt.

yes it is a shame that so many people are abusing prescription drugs. I am glad that you didn't sell yours. it is too bad there isn't somebody you could report him to. I hope you can continue to get the meds you need.
