I've been out of work for about 3 months now and it feels like I am becoming more confused as time goes on.
In the past I have had around 50 jobs and I feel like a dabbler, but I did have a couple of 'careers' in that time so it wasn't always that I didn't have direction. However my last 'career' was 1998 and since then I've just been doing odd jobs. Now though time is running out and I just can't decide which direction to go in. I also don't just want to grab anything because I know I probably won't be fulfilled in the end. As for doing something I like and trying to make money, unfortunately it's not that easy. I don't just have your standard interests and therefore can't just go out and get a related job. Is there any techniques or tips I can use to get motivated to just get out there? |

Hello Joe.
I am sorry you are having such a struggle at this time. Seeing a therapist could help you in managing your time more wisely and make the decisions you need to make for your future. also there are medications available to help you focus better. I hope the best for you Joe. take care and welcome to Psych Central Soidhonia __________________ The Caged Bird Sings with a Fearful Trill of Things Unknown and Longed for Still and his Tune is Heard on the Distant Hill for the Caged Bird Sings of Freedom |
