As a non-add'er i try my best to understand how unmedicated ADD/HD impacts people compared to medicated add'ers. My friend who i adore dearly has ADD and was diagnosed last year at age 17, she doesn't take meds and seems quite isolated from people.
Does ADD/HD make you feel lonely or could it be comorbid conditions? I personally don't have a problem with ADHD although it has a lot of stigma i think people who don't have it need to be more empathetic and educate themselves on it to really be able to be compassionate and appreciate how difficult it must be. I don't want my friend feeling lonely or like no one understands her which is why i am on here trying to educate myself more about it. Claire ![]() |

I can only speak from personal experience, but I think I'm more sociable then the average person. I dunno if it's because of the ADD or bipolar or if that's just my personality, but it can/has caused some problems at times.
It could have something to do with her ADD or an underlying condition, but it could also be something as simple as it's just her personality.
