Have you ever just felt like nothing you do is right/good enough and you're always wrong or to blame? My friend has this where she instantly assumes any discussion/debate is her fault or she is too blame?

Ever felt like this? Can ADHD be the reason for this?

ADHD certainly effects ones confidence and self esteem. In my experience it was family that were the ones that always pointed the finger. It was easy for them to blame me for every thing. Growing up being called stupid all the time was the norm, how could I possibly be right? That hasn't changed today, I'm always being second guessed, what eats at me I know the other person is wrong and I am right but nobody will hear of hit. I'm still the little stupid lazy kid today and 40 years ago.

Yes I feel like that and have felt like that most of my life. I feel it's due to upbringing and low self-esteem. For me anyways. I was always blamed for everything and was always told I should have done things this way or that way. I am the black sheep of the family. Also low self esteem probably has a lot to do with it also because I always doubt myself and feel like could've done things better. It's possible someone could also do it to try to get attention. Not to sure it has anything to do with ADHD though. Just my humble thoughts.

Thank you for reading and replying i really appreciate it, has treatment helped improve your self-esteem? I am really sorry that you have felt inadequate for so long i can't even begin to imagine the scars that would leave. That is a legit point i think it is probably self-esteem maybe seeing as a lot of people feel like that now and again, maybe ADHD'ers more so cause it is a constant battle unless you get proper treatment.

Thank you for explaining that i have a clearer understanding of it now i am trying to be a better friend to her so if i know what she feels like then i will be able to sympathize and help her
