I'm 40yrs old and was just diagnozed a couple months ago with adhd. Thinking about my childhood I can tell that I have had this symptom for a long time but did not get a chance to actually get checked until just recently.

The doc started me with concerta 18mg for 5 days then double that to 36mg afterwards. It didnt help me with myconcerntration or focus but gave me bad side effects. Doc then switched me to adderall xr 10mg first 5 days then 20mg, 30mg. I felt it kicking in after 30min of taking the meds because I could feel some pressure in my head. It calmed me down and I did not feel so sleepy like I usually did at work but the effect that I was hoping for was not there, concentration and focus were not there still. I still end up day dreaming after reading a few line of work procedures and still feel lazy to even start my duties when I get to work.

I wonder if anybody has had this happened to them and if other medication had helped.

I have an appointment tomorrow with my P Doc and kind of wondering what the next step he is going to have me do. I looked at forumds and read that another medication called Vyvanse may help but I dont know if I should mention to my doc that I would like to try this.

Thanks in advance.

Different medications work for different people. Have you considered Vyvanse yet? Or perhaps a higher dosage of adderall? A dull headache is often a sign of a dosage either being to small or too big.
