Does anyone get this because of ADHD? For me, I will have one thought in my mind and then I just want to get it out all at once. I will think of something I find interesting and then I might see something in the background that triggers another thought because I can get focused on the background due do distraction reasons, and then talk about that topic and it keeps going on and on and on (like this sentence as an example). Another example, I will be talking about how awesome a TV show is and then I will see a deer in a field and then change topics to talking about deer. Does this happen when you talk or even write something? Thanks for your responses .

I get this- i will cut off mid sentence. It drives my best friend crazy. But more often, it's that I just stop mid sentence because I forgot what I was talking about. And with writing, I usually skip words because my brain goes faster than I can write.

Same about the writing part! That part though has been a recent development I think because of medication, more severe AD(H)D symptoms being shown, I can type fast now, or a combination of those things. I hate it sometimes because they are important words that I missed so it's not like the words don't matter and I can continue to move on or I won't be deducted marks because of it. My teachers now always tell me I write too many run-on sentences. Even my friends.

Thanks for your response .

I've literally been in one of those 'hey, look! baby ducks!' situation (there is a television in the office and they really showed a clip of really cute baby ducks) while in the midst of giving instructions to a junior.

Another time, was talking to a friend halfway through a sentence, got bored and changed the topic. He was like, 'Did you just interrupted yourself?', and the worst thing is, I don't even remember what I was talking about previously. :s

At work, I often leave sentences unfinished (documents) - I don't even know how that is possible!!! I'd just be typing something and then remembered I need to insert something else and I'd just do that ... it is terrible.
Thanks for this!

My friend calls it, "Shiny things!!" when I do it. It is terrible.

Anybody relate to this,?: God forbid there is a TV turned on within my eyesight. I have absolutely ZERO interest in sports yet if a TV is on and a sporting event is being shown -ANY sport - I will sit, eyes glued to the screen like my life depended upon it. I could care less about sports. Makes me such a respectful dining companion as every restaurant seems to have TVs on everywhere now.
Thanks for this!
