I'm new here too. I also have depression and found out today I have ADD. The depression is handled with Wellbutrin and next week the doc will put me on Stratera. We'll have to keep each other updated on our progress. You're not alone

I'm new here as well. I have been diagnosed with ADD when I was seven (now I am fifteen). I am not allowed to take medication because my mother doesn't want me to have the side effects. Well, anyway, it's a constant, every-day battle for us all to get more and more over it, but if we keep going, we're doing good! Hi i Am new here and have ADD and depression Welcome.

I was diagnoised with ADHd about 5 or 6 years ago and have the comorbid depression along with it. I also find that the depression increases a great deal in the winter months. I am in my forties and the diagnosis was a mixed blessing. Finally found out why so much of my life and events did nt make any sense, but also found out that it is permanent. Good news, we are a creative, energtic bunch and from everything I have read intelligent too. Bad news is we have difficulities in social settings, work, school, relationships, social events, waiting in line etc. I have found when i get board in a job I do things to make the job more enjoyable with out thinking what the consequences will be. Nine out ten times it causes problems, the caution filters stop working.... I have a saying, "the strongest stimulis wins".

Hang it there folks and start looking for creative outlets. Yoga, drawing and watercoler really helped me as well as swimming and outdoor activities. Exercize in general seems to help. Good luck.
Finally, there are some great books on the market a few that come to mind are Driven to Distraction, You mean I am nont lazy or stupid< I am not sure that is the correct title but you will find it. Its a relief to find out but the stuggles continue.

Good luck on your quest, my fellow aliens!
Joe

I wish they would put this question on the ADHD Quiz. Do the piles in your room seem to multiply on their own? And, Do you find your self apologizing alot?
