Hello. I will not be as much as people with experience, but I will give you my cup of tea if you'd like.
I believe (and looking for testing) that I have ADHD - predominantly inattentive. This may mask over things that are more likely than ADHD for me like ASD. But I know my experience with anxiety and depression quite well. I know that before going on a stimulant if you consider going on that path is to treat the anxiety. Anxiety tends to worsen on stimulants. So by treating the anxiety, it should help you take medication for ADHD if you are considering that. I know that they are usually linked, and one makes the other worse and vice versa. I have read that sometimes the ADHD is primary and anxiety/depression secondary. Primary means it's the cause and secondary means it is a product of the primary. So many people with ADHD have depression or anxiety co-morbid. So by treating one, you are helping the other. If ADHD is primary to your anxiety/depression, treating the ADHD is actually better because the symptoms of anxiety/depression will significantly decrease. But if the anxiety/depression and ADHD are both primary diagnosis, then treating the anxiety and depression should help increase concentration and attention problems. This is my knowledge of ADHD and depression/anxiety to sum it up. If I made anything unclear, just reply or PM me. I get a lot of my information about ADHD from: additudemag.com __________________ Join my social group about mental health awareness!
