Hi! I haven't been diagnosed with ADHD, just have always had depression and anxiety with some other issues, and am currently suspecting I could have inattentive type. I'm going to try to talk to my pdoc about it, of course, but until then I'm exploring things.
Despite being a generally anxious person, certain "stimulating" meds have actually had the opposite effect on me. I've tried Nuvigil a couple of times, prescribed for depression, and it just made me feel very tired, with only an occasional slightly wired feeling at the same time. My psych just happened to prescribe Ritalin at my last appointment for depression (searching info on it is actually what reminded me of suspecting ADHD a couple years ago and made me start looking further into it). I've only taken it a few days and am really not sure about it yet. One day it gave me a little bit of energy, but, today especially, it's definitely made me tired too and gives me a sort of mellow feeling for a bit after taking it. I know it's not a 100% certain sign but I've read a lot of conflicting stuff on it, from it strongly indicating ADHD to it just affecting everyone differently like any med and not meaning anything. Does anyone know anything about the explanation behind it, or wanna give any personal experiences? Thanks! ![]() |

I don't know but I miss the mellows from Ritalin. It started happening less often.
![]() These meds are quite weird. I have no idea why people have such different reactions to them. |
