I have an appt with my psychiatrist in a month and I'm making a list of all my symptoms to give him (it's pretty long) because I'm almost 100% sure I have ADHD and it's affecting my life so badly.
Just wondering for those who were diagnosed and started meds, how did it help you?

Tremendously. It would take me forever to explain it all but I had a MUCH lower quality of life before I got on medication.

If they give you adderall you'll feel the improvement right away. Same with Ritalin

My dr thinks I have bipolar and ADHD, and gave me 10 ritalin to try out. The first time I took 1, within 20 minutes I felt so good! I had a lot of energy, I had motivation to clean and do all the things I needed to do and it lasted about 5 hours. After that I didn't find taking them had the same effect though, but I wasn't taking them at the same time every day. The prescription only lasted about 4-5 days though, so I don't know.
