Hi Yall,

I have been called scatterbrain my whole life by my mom and family. While I beleived I was so distracted because my mom and dad had a bad divorce, I now realize at the age of 38 with a NEW adhd diagnosis (always diagnosed w/depression since childhood) i can finally relax.
My question to all of you out there is, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS SAFEST TO TAKE FOR ADHD in pregnancy?? I'm so distracted, couldn't function at work, went on disability, nurse for 14 years, (howd i do that, i just dont know lol) I did a great job since I am such a caring individual, but I am a scatterbrain, perfect terminology . I should be happy, my pregnancy has gone ok until 23 weeks I only took Omega oils (fish, flax) and did ok, couldn't get nothing done but functioned to some degree. Doc put me on prozac when the depression got so bad at about 25 weeks because the limited functioning was making me depressed. After 5 weeks, no improvent so I'm off it. Now I'm on 27mg of concerta and 150xl wellbutrin daily at 33 weeks, I'm scared i could be hurting my baby although I CAN FUNCTION AGAIN YEH. Its only been 3 days and the depression has lifted and I can do simple tasks like cook dinner again and enjoy it!!!!!! for years I never understood why I couldn't plan simple things that most people dont even think about once, nevermind 5 times. I just got diagnosed right before the pregnancy and was on 10 mg of ritalin every morning and for ONCE in my life I excelled in school with 26 credits in one semester all a's and b's while having more problems than most people can think of, (I have a severely autistic child and restraining order on ex-hubby). Cant wait to be well again. DONT GET DISTRACTED BY THIS POST LOL, HAD TO EDIT 5X, MY QUESTION IS IN THE 2ND PARAGRAPH.

Any suggestion would be apprectiated--you could also respond via email ltracey1969@yahoo.com

Thanks for any support--Lisa
Hope this helps someone as well
