I have adult ADHD and I recently found out about Habitica (I haven't posted enough to be able to post links, but just Google it if you're interested).

Habitica is essentially a website/app that gamifies task completion. You can add Habits, Dailies, and To-Dos to level up and get equipment for your "character". Yes, Habitica is essentially an RPG that rewards achieving our goals.

Habits are positive or negative activities you would like to do or not do on a continual basis. If it's a bad habit, you lose health, and if it's a good habit, you gain XP. You can set the difficult of the Habit as well.

Dailies are tasks that you expect yourself to do at some sort of regular interval (e.g. every day, every week, on certain days of the week). If you fail to complete a daily on the interval you've set, you lose Health. Otherwise, you gain XP.

To-Dos are like projects. You can choose to set a due date for each one, if you'd like. The longer the To-Do is active, the more experience you will get for it, so the game encourages you to not put off one of these forever; you'll want to get it done because of all the XP you'll get.

The game experience offers different kinds of equipment, pets, mounts, questing, etc. It's pretty interesting and engaging if you're into that kind of thing.

You can use Habitica via a browser or an Android/IOS app. The website interface is the best in my opinion (and the app has some bugs), but the app is definitely useable for at least checking off tasks.

I've been using Habitica for a few weeks now, and I'm already a lot more productive in my life! I thought I was managing my ADHD pretty well before, but now I'm doing extremely well! I hope this keeps up.
Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
