I was wondering if anyone was able to get workplace accommodations based on your ADHD needs? Your stories may help guide me.

Hello there,

If you live in the US your state should have a disability law center.

My 20 year old daughter is getting work place accommodations for her bipolar 2.

I come to the ADHD board because my 23 year son has it and my 12 year old daughter.

-Best

Thanks. I feel like people don't take it seriously and I don't think people get how hard it is to function.

Some people are just uneducated. I’ve been doing accommodations since my 23 year old son was in elementary school. Today I just e-mailed a copy of my 12 year old daughter’s IEP to a company that helps parents write IEP accommodations. We’re working on ideas for next fall when school starts.

If you want help from someone who actually writes IEPs for students with autism, ADHD, EBD and other disabilities pm me. I can give you plenty of accommodations that help students with ADHD that we use....I'm a special education teacher and work with middle school age kids on standard diploma curriculum.
