"Friend" might be a stretch, he's too new for me to call him that yet and I don't really see it working long term, but I'm trying to give it a shot.
Anyhoo, I found out today he has ADHD because I straight up asked him if that was the case. I've been trying to play tabletop games with him online, but he has a hard time not moving stuff around when he shouldn't and tossing things around the board, including dice, when it's not his turn making it extremely frustrating to try to play with him. He just can't sit still. I've asked him to stop multiple times, he always says "sorry", but then goes and does it again minutes later. So I asked him today if ADHD was something he dealt with, not out to make fun of him, but to try to help. Not surprisingly, he said "yes". He does take a medication, but only while in school. He basically just deals with it outside of school. I can't play with him like this though. It's rage inducing and frankly impossible because I can't keep track of everything he messes up while he's moving stuff around. Are there any techniques I can toss at him that might help him calm down and focus without the medication?
