Hello all. New member here.
I was wondering if anyone in these forums has been exposed to mold and if that exposure has caused or worsened their ADHD symptoms. During the spring of 2016, I drove a car with an excessively moldy interior, and as a result, I encountered what I believe were ADHD symptoms. For example, when I attended college in the fall of 2016, I would usually arrive to class late and not be able to complete certain assignments which required focus and concentration. I do not know if I have ADHD, but am planning to ask my doc during my next appointment. |

I do not think mold can cause adhd. Maybe symptoms similar to adhd can be caused by mold but not the disorder itself.

I think Sarah is correct, but it is possible mold, mildew or bacteria may cause someone with ADHD to be more aggravated or prone to developing a symptom of a mold or other related problem.

yeah know, I have and ADHD/ADD and I very allergic to mold! I have never known anybody that suffers from mold the way I do. I am constantly blowing my nose because I cannot get relief! I am not sure if the two are related. All I know is that I am accused of being "obsessed" and anyone around me can't stand to be around me. I get no understanding because people think that I am doing it on purpose? or that I can help it? not sure...
