Hi, I'm Layla, I'm 45, single, childfree, & have one cat. I also have a disability and have recently (this year) found myself living with my best friend. I relocated to the south to have a more affordable life and (hopefully) find affordable housing. But it's been very difficult. I really need a place to live and it's all I can think about. I hate living here. She has a 3 yo daughter on the spectrum, she is on the spectrum as well. I just have ADHD & find it very difficult to deal with the chaos of the individuals I'm staying with. I want a place to live so badly and am so depressed and sad that I'm unable to get out of here.

I am not ungrateful so please don't jump down my throat about anything. I'm having a very rough time. I take a lot of medication and recently started treating myself w/St. John's Wort, it just takes the edge off, but I will probably have to be on anti-depressants again at some point once I've straightened out my Medicaid sitch in my new location. I'm usually not this much of a downer, but during this pandemic, and as an outgoing person who is unable to go out, I just feel desperate to reach out & find someone to interact with. Thanks for reading.

Dear gothceltgirl,

Welcome to the Forums. It is very nice to meet you.

I just read your post and want to tell you how terribly sorry I am that you are in the unhappy situation you describe. I can't even imagine what you must be going through with all of that! Hopefully these Forums will be helpful to you. They have helped me a lot. I sure hope you find a place and that in the meantime that things will not be such a terrible ordeal for you!

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen

Hey Sarahsweets,

No, not at present. I have in the past, it was amazing. It's like night & day. Such an amazing difference in how I feel, react, & respond to the world around me.

Hopefully soon, once I get my medicaid & stuff sorted out, I've got to try & find a place to go as well.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I hadn't actually subscribed to the thread or something, so I didn't see I had replies. D'oh!
