I was diagnosed years ago with depression. Medications have never made things completley right. I always knew there one something else wrong with me. Yesterday I figured it out after seeing a commercial on Adult ADD and taking the test and then coming to this website. I have made such a mess of my life. I can't ever get things accomplished. There are important things that I have to do and I forget or just can't do them. I just don't think I can myself out of this. I forgot to give some important papers to our accountant and now my husband has to go to probate court becaue of me. I don't know how to tell. I have thinking of just leaving or ending it. Help!

As ozzie suggested, there's a lot of great help out there for people who have ADD/ADHD -- all you have to do is to take the first step and ask for it. I think you'll find out that if you do get a good doctor who understands the extent and complexities of what you're dealing with, you will begin to feel better. If you do indeed have ADD/ADHD, a medication to specifically address that may be extremely helpful to you. Talk to your doc, get a referral for a therapist, and take it from there!
Good luck! DocJohn

I think most of us here have felt the same way. Myself, more than others I'm sure. I also have depression and recently found out I am ADD. Like you mentioned I also knew there was something else wrong with me and just couldn't put my finger on it. I just thought I was airheaded and forgetful constantly. If anything learning that there is a reason for all of this gives me hope. Now it is just finding the right meds to help. Don't give up, if you need to vent you came to the right place. Hang in there and keep us posted.
