Hi everyone,
I am in grad school and I find it so hard to concentrate in my reading. I find I am reading something and it takes double as long because I just realized I was reading and don't know what I just read. Sometimes in order to understand something I have to read it over and over and take it apart and even try to negate to sentence to get the meaning or idea. That does not hapen often, but when it does it is a drag. I find myself fighting to stay attentive in class. I am not hyperactive at all and am very laidback and tolerable. I have never been on any type of meds at all and wonder how it would be and if it is something that would be permanent or just to get me through grad school. I am intelligent and can pick up languages in a snap, math skills are a whole other story. It took me 8 tries before I made a "C" in college algebra. I am driven to make all "A"s now and have a really hard semester in front of me with a reading list from hell. Any thoughts? |

ADD people have a harder time focusing on things they are not very interested in. I was a horrable student from day one! But luckly I found something I love to do for a living and I've been doing it for over 20 years! I shudder to think where I would have ended up had I not found my nich!
