I'm new here.
I havn't been diagnosted with AADD, but I'm am sure that I am suffering from it. My whole life has been an adventure. My problems started when I was 7 or 8. I fell off the back of a bicycle, and landed on my head.
before that happened, everything was easy for me. Since that time, I have had trouble in school, in relationships, and in life in general.
It's extremely diffucult for me to write this. But the events over the last few years have pushed me to the brink.
I have been researching this for the last month or so, and have been trying to find a Dr.. And reading this forum has given me some badly needed hope.
Just wanted to say something.

http://www.aboutpsychotherapy.com/

That's a really good link. After diagnoses, you should be pointed in the right direction. I'm sorry I'm not much help, I don't have experience in this. ^^; At the site, the part of it explaining what doctor is what doctor was good.

Go for someone clinical, a clinical psychiatrist/therapist/social worker. My understanding is clinical is talk treatment, while some just specialize in meds and can have no training in treating mental problems, just giving meds.

At least that's my understanding, which is usually odd. o_o XD

Maybe that place will have some answers on where to find one? Gah, sorry. XD Good luck!

I know this is a strange question sea, but which part of your head did you hit. I had the same thing happen to me? I was hit right between the eyes. It is probably not my entire problem, but it might be part, not all of my screws are there.

Angel,
I landed on the back of my head. My mom, God rest her soul, called our family Dr. He told her just to keep me awake, and I would be fine. Little did we know how things would turn out.
My wife thinks it's funny that I have a flat head, thinks it should be easier for me to go to sleep. I'd get mad at her, but she's another Angel.
She has Parkinson, so she relates to what I feel. And I can relate to her condition.

Well I have a scar that has faded over the years. I also have a wonderful husband. He is very smart, he doesn’t know what we go through everyday, I can’t think strait, amongst other things. You will find that it is easier to talk with us than anyone else except your shrink. Lol. Good luck and I hope you and your wife are well… Hello Hello Hello

Yea, I know all about not thinking straight. It's so strange, and most people don't understand. Especially when your younger.
