Now this is an answer a long time coming...

I was prescribed 10mg Focalin XR last month. The first couple of days I found myself straightening and cleaning up things. I did not notice any change in my ability to concentrate on school work.

When I returned to my doctor this month, he determined that there was a slight improvement but I had not reached a correct therapeutic dose. He increased it to 15mg. It has only been a few days so I am not sure what effect it is having. A huge concern for me is being able to concentrate on difficult material and learn new skills. OK a clean house would definitely be wonderful.

It is interesting to note that I noticed that there are things I am no longer doing--such as constantly scanning my surroundings and thinking about a million things at once. I have more ability to remember to follow through with things. As I discussed with my doctor and he pointed out, sometimes people are expecting something TO happen, when the change is in what IS NOT happening.

Let me know what has happened since the beginning of the year
