I am new to this community. Recently, I was given the diagnosed with Asperger's. I don't know anyone that can relate to what I go through. I don't get the feeling that my family really understands me. So I am giving this a try.

I don't personally know anybody neither who can truly understand this! I got diagnosed with AS as well a few weeks ago and even if I try to explain to friends, family, etc.. I am not certain if it will be positive feedback. So thank goodness there are sites like this one who allows us aspies to talk amongst ourseleves without having to physically stand in front of eachother, lol !

Yes. I got diagnosed at 30. Some of my family knows some doesn't... all depends on how I though they would take it. Most, but not all, of my friends know... they weren't surprised.

Welcome! I can relate. I was diagnosed with AS in 2007, and the only person who mostly understand is my boyfriend, who has a diagnosis of AS too but doesn't really feel he has it (and I'm more an dmore convinced he's right).
