I'm 24 years old and I'm on SSI and have just enough to make rent and pay bills. I'm a part time student doing my general studies (I don't even know where I'm going with it). I don't drive, no license, no car. I had only one job before and it was only for 3 weeks part time as a cashier (which scarred me). I don't have people skills and idk how to talk and answer quick enough. So I fail all of my interviews...I feel really trapped because I have no way of working or getting to work. I'm 24 and I feel like my time on earth is running out for me. I feel like I need to get my life together but its just so damn hard. I just want to lock myself up in my room the rest of my life because I can't deal with people. being around people exhausts me and I have to hide.

I feel like my life is just being wasted away...

I feel sorry for you mate.

I also feel there are too many people with the view that "if you can't get a job you're useless" i.e. the welfare state shouldn't exist and everyone should be responsible for their own life, that kind of thing. Maybe it's a result of overpopulation. Too many people in this world = too few opportunities to grasp = too many just wasting life = too many not necessary or valued enough
