Does anyone else find themselves getting yelled at because you say the wrong thing? And not realizing what you did wrong until looking back on it?

Yep, quite often. I also get yelled at frequently being told to 'calm down', when I'm perfectly calm, because my voice has a tendency to get louder without me realising. Ironically being told to calm down when I am already calm, makes me pissed off.

Lol yea I hate that. I tend to do the same. Plus if I tell someone else to calm down when they start telling they get defensive and yell even more.

I guess the rules only apply to us, not to anyone else

Yup. Well, not necessarily yelled at. In the corporate world, we're given a "one-on-one", and it is usually because you were misheard to begin with. The net result is that you are now even more on guard, and that much more likely to screw up.
