I was diagnosed autistic many years ago, and I want to say that I’m at a point where I’m learning to appreciate everything in life. I’m 28 years young and my areas of special interest seem to be mostly technology related, aaannnd traffic signals.

I have my own business, that is my primary source of income as an independent IT consultant. I also have a girlfriend named Megan, of 5 years who is one year older than I am and is an NT. Sometimes I feel like she “forgets” I’m autistic and we get into arguments about it.

I also have a wonderful best friend Erin, who is 46 and I look up to her for everything, as she has been there for me and is very supportive.

Nevertheless I’m very thankful for these two people that I have in my life.
Hugs from:

Hello redlight: I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit. May I suggest you introduce yourself to the community at large over on PC's New Member Introductions forum? Here's a link:

https://forums.psychcentral.com/new-...introductions/

There's a lot of support that can be available here on PC. The more you post, & reply to other members' posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are the chat rooms where you'll be able to interact with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) So please keep posting!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
