Ever since I can remember I had loved to draw. I would just draw non stop. My childhood and teen years were spent this way. I felt calm, and happy drawing. I also felt pride and knew my art was wonderful, others would see my art and talk to me, tell me how good I was. But I never drew for them.Never for that purpose. But things happened. Things not in my control. Upon getting married, (2009) and trying to live a normal life as a spouse stationed in South Korea, (he was in the military) things started to unravel. I lost my abilty to draw. (divorced as of July 2013, I had to walk away many many reasons)it feels like a chore now when I attempt to draw. I'm told I haven't lost my ability that my art is still great but It's the drive I lost. Have any of you guys experienced this? What did you do and what are you doing now to get your drive to draw and create again?

I used to draw also, and have lost the drive to do it. I was never very good, but I enjoyed it. I miss it but I still haven't found the motivation to start drawing again.

I used to draw a lot. the meds i was on caused me to stop though (shakey/trembling hands kind of make it really difficult to draw). but it could be part of a depression that others have mentioned. I know that i might not notice that i'm feeling depressed, but i start to get bored, and can't find anything that i wanna do when i get that way. things that i once enjoyed and still want to enjoy, i dont want to do.
*hugs*
