My diagnosis of PDD-NOS does not satisfy and I think of myself as having Autism or Aspergers, but I had been diagnosed with PDD-NOS. I even said to my doctor that he gave me the wrong diagnosis.

thats so difficult when that happens. have you been able to get a second opinion? a different doctor may see it differently. maybe someone more specialized in autism?
PDD-NOS is still on the spectrum of autism.

I didn't even think of that, but that does sound like a good idea.
Thanks for this!

I assume you were diagnosed before DSM-5. In that there is no difference made between autism and Asperger's. The problem with the new criteria is that some with PDD-NOS fall out of the diagnosis of autism spectrum altogether. That probably should be the "real" worry if they think you belong in the new diagnosis.

Yes I did get diagnosed before the DSM-5, but I think it sucks as to how they did it.
