I have aspergers syndrome and I have no patience for a lot of people. I do very well with seniors but people my own age freak me out especially if they don't have mental illness. I'm just mainly focused on my 600 or so books. I love to read anything. I know people with aspergers have that one main interest and mine is reading. I especially love to read American Folklore and I have about 116 books on the subject. I have a hard time talking to people. I had selective mute when I was a kid and I didn't really grow out of it. I talk to just a few people at the clinic I go to for support and their all staff. I can be talking to someone and then another person will.start talking to me and I pretty much give them a quick blank stare and ignore them even if i was just talking to someone else. Its like my vocal.chords freeze. I don't have any friends. i prefer to just spend my time reading. I do very well.with animals. I think i can seem conceited and arrogant because i go into a room and ignore everyone and open a book. I'm very focused on myself. Is this bad? I am focused on my job and saving money and my books and animals and family. Does anyone feel like this?

Hello Bozdickens: The Skeezyks has very little to do with other people, in real life, either. So from my perspective if you're content, & you're able to live your life the way you want to live it, I would say no there's nothing bad about it at all!
Thanks for this!

I can relate. I have very little friends, they are almost non-existent. I am always the one making the effort, and I just won't anymore. If you are happy, and don't need anyone, then you are content, and there is nothing wrong with that
